Hi there - my name is Kate O'Neal. I started this site as a way to help others struggling with emotional eating.
I struggled with weight loss and emotional eating for years. I tried every kind of diet imaginable - Atkins, Low Calorie, Low Fat, Zone, Raw Food, you name it.
Nothing worked over the long term. I would lose and then gain it back - sometimes more. It was frustrating to say the least.
Then I came across a program online called Shrink Yourself. It helped me to realize - surprise, surprise - I was an emotional eater - big time.
Once I realized that - for me - it wasn't really about the food - it was how I handled my emotions, the weight started falling off. There were ups and downs along the way but gradually I became free. I learned how to handle my own emotions without eating them.
I started this site as a way to share my knowledge, inspire other people struggling with this problem and shed light on the various solutions available.
I am not a doctor or a therapist (see my disclaimer). I'm just someone who has been in the trenches. I write about my experiences and what I've learned from experts.
I also know that you can overcome emotional eating. Everyone is different and has unique challenges.
However the power of the human spirit to overcome roadblocks is incredible. It's my hope that you enjoy this site, learn things that will help you in your own life and come back often!
